Meet Hakim, A., who is the Senior Executive Logistics Coordinator and a Program Analyst for MELE’s NNSA Office of Nuclear Incident Policy and Cooperation (NA-81) contract work. Hakim’s primary role is taking care of all domestic and foreign travel for the NA-81 office. He books travel tickets for the federal employees and creates and submits Electronic Country Clearances (ECCs) for the federal/contractor employees. Hakim recently celebrated his 8-year anniversary at MELE.
“The best part of my job is the confidence my coworkers have in me. What I love about this company is that MELE made me feel like a talented professional sports player that all the best teams wanted. Because of that, I’m eternally loyal to MELE, and this is where I want to be until I retire,” he shared.
“Hakim has supported three successive office directors during his time with NA-81. From speaking with them all, I know that Hakim’s expertise, responsiveness, and diligence are greatly appreciated and that his NNSA and national laboratory colleagues consider him a pleasure to work with. We are fortunate to have Hakim as part of the MELE team,” shared Andy St. Denis, Hakim’s supervisor, and a Project Manager at MELE.
Hakim grew up in Brooklyn, NY, The U.S. Virgin Islands, and Bangkok, Thailand. Those places shaped and molded him into the person he is today. When he’s not working, his favorite thing to do is any type of combat sport, including boxing, Jiu Jitsu, or wrestling.
