Meet Sergio L., best known as Jo-jo, out of MELE’s Albuquerque, New Mexico office. He is the Technical Surveillance Team Manager for the Albuquerque region and has been with MELE since June 2023. Prior to joining the MELE family, Sergio was at the Idaho National Laboratory and had a career in federal services. He leads twelve technicians who support the NNSA’s Technical Security Program at Sandia National Laboratory and other labs across the U.S.

I enjoy working at MELE and at our location because of my fellow technicians but also because leadership is always receptive and open to our ideas.”
Sergio is a first-generation American and was born in the Philippines. His father was in the military, so he grew up in different cities around the U.S. and then followed in his father’s footsteps and joined the U.S. Air Force. Sergio served in the Air Force and federal government for 35 years.
Sergio met his wife while stationed in the U.K. and they have been married for 40 years. In his free time, he and his wife enjoy motorcycle rides through New Mexico and sailing their boat, “S/V Easy Breezy.” Sergio and his wife eventually plan to live on the boat full time while sailing to distant shores all over the world.
